Overview

The beta for Thorium Reader on iOS/iPadOS/macOS is an early look at our new application.

We target iOS/iPadOS/macOS 26 and do not have plans to support older versions.

Latest release

1.0 - Release Candidate 1 (April 18, 2026)

• New: New icon built for iOS 26+
• New: Support for Spanish
• New: Multiple files can now be selected when importing
• New: Added links to our blog, help desk and Discord server
• Update: Adjustments to our spacing presets for EPUB
• Fix: Books that were previously stuck at 99% will now reach 100% progression

Next release

1.0 - Release Candidate 2 (April 22, 2026)

• New: Empty states

Localization

Our application is currently localized in English, French, Italian, Finnish and Swedish.

All localization will be handled using Weblate at https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/thorium-reader/#information
